On the Water

With NZ’s fourth-largest lake on our doorstep, Lake Wanaka is a 10-15 minute walk from Copper Beech Luxury Accommodation, where you can partake in many activities like fishingkayaking & SUP, jet boating trips, parasailing and jet skiing. A little further afield is Lake Hawea, Diamond Lake, Clutha River, Hawea River, Matukituki River, Makarora River, Cardrona River, where you can enjoy more exciting activities or simply appreciate the natural beauty of the area.

In the Air

Be wowed by the birds-eye view of the lakes and mountains with a scenic flight from rather a helicopter & fixed-wing. For the adrenaline junkies, experience the rush as you jump out of a plane at 15,000ft to skydive back into Wanaka. Wanaka Airport is a 10-minute drive from our accommodation.

Wine, Craft Beer & Food

Relax with a latte or indulge in some amazing local wine and food with the many restaurants, cafes and craft beer breweries nearby. One of Wanaka’s best restaurants is merely a 200m walk from our accommodation. Take a guided tour for a Wine, Food or Brews experience on our trikes with door to door service.

Tracks & Trails

Wanaka is blessed with excellent tracks and trails for cycling, walking, running and hiking. From shorter walks such as Mt Iron to technical multi-day hikes, Wanaka has it all! The area has various biking tracks and trails to suit beginners through to experts.

Adventure

Imagine yourself riding down the highway on the back of a three-wheeled motorcycle. Feel the wind in your face as Wanaka Trike Tours takes you on an unforgettable tour of discovery. Take an off-road adventure with a 4WD Scenic Tour or Eco Tour, try some back-country Horse Riding and Quad Bike trails or conquer the world’s highest waterfall cable climb. All these incredible adventures are within a short distance of Wanaka.

Snow Sports

Surrounded by mountains, you won’t have too far to travel for some action on the slopes. Cardrona, Treble Cone and Snow Farm are all within a 20-25-minute drive from Wanaka, where you can enjoy downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, or just playing in the snow. One of the highlights is Dog Sledding at Snow Farm, and you’ll fall in love with the Huskies. Imagine snuggling up with them for a photo. We offer mountain transport in a luxury 4WD van in the winter months and Wanaka ski accommodation special.

On Course

There are plenty of activities for relaxing around Wanaka’s township. Treat yourself to our in-room massage service, especially if you’ve been riding up the local ski fields! For those who want to see something new when they’re relaxing back, Mou Waho Island is a great place to visit by boat. Don’t want to get on the water? The local Lavender Farm is a great place to see farm animals and grab a coffee. For those who want to relax at our accommodation, immerse yourself in our bubbling spa pool to soothe and rejuvenate those tired muscles.
